SIMPREX^® prepregs combine the excellent thermal and mechanical properties of epoxy prepregs with the ease of processing and the fast curing property of unsaturated polyester Sheet Molding Coumpound (SMC), while adding inherent superior chemical resistance and significant cost savings to manufacturers as well as end-users.

Shelf Life: 12 months (1 year) at ambient temperature 70°F (22°C)
Typical Curing Cycle: CC1 = 10-20 min. / 1-3 bar / 250°F (121°C)

N.B. : These Prepregs can be processed under other conditions, where the curing cycle can be shorter or even longer, by changing the curing temperature and in might also affect the shelf life (i.e. for low curing temperature: 160°F – 180°F, Shelf Life would be only good for few months and curing cycle will be for 1 to 2 hours).
